The RCHS cheer squad spent two days at Kansas State University learning new cheers, dances and stunts. They pushed themselves to learn challenging stunts and proved their strength! We can’t wait to show everyone what we learned this fall! Go Buffs!

Republic County Boys Basketball 3on3 finished last night by crowning Ashton Williams, Adam Krohn, and Colin White as the 2024 Champs. Go Buffs!
The Belleville Lions Club is hosting the BBQ for the Band tonight June 20 at 5:30-7:30 pm at the band shell in the park. The Republic County High School Jazz Band will play at 7:00. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and music will be available through a free will donation to benefit the band. Go Buffs!
Lady Buffaloes Youth Volleyball Camp is June 24-26 in Belleville. This is open to all girls entering 3rd grade through 8th grade. Check out the registration form for more details. We are accepting registrations until Monday, June 24. They can be dropped off at the High School office, East office, Board office, or emailed to rmarston@usd109.org. EAST ELEMENTARY PRE-SCHOOL -- 2024/2025 Year
USD #109 is taking applications for the 2024/2025 Preschool class. If you have a child who will be four years old by September 1, 2024, they are eligible to apply. You can find the application on the USD #109 website -- www.usd109.org. Classes are held in the morning or afternoon, Monday - Thursday.

REMINDER!!! Seniors that have a Munden, Cuba, Narka, Haddam, Mahaska, or Morrowville address make sure you check out the Margaret Hess Boyle Scholarship. The requirements have been in the Belleville Telescope for the last two weeks. The due date is not until June 30th, but it would be much easier to get transcripts and letters of recommendation while you are still in school! This is for students who are attending any kind of post-secondary education. So technical schools, trade schools, and community college students may also apply, as well as those who plan to attend a 4 year institution. Please see one of the counselors if you have questions.
There will be a YONDR Bag information meeting on Monday-June 17th in the RCHS Cafeteria at 5 PM. Those of you looking for more information on the school's possible use of YONDR Bags to curb the use of cell phones during the school day are invited to attend this meeting. Casey Seyfert, the Beloit principal will be in attendance to answer questions as well, they successfully implemented the YONDR Bags this school year.

Class of 2025...please don't forget that you need a composite score of 23 to be eligible to take the Dane Hansen qualifying test in September. Your only chance to take the ACT this summer is July 13. Individually: Levi White finished 6th in the 200m. Ellie Callaway finished 4th in the 3200m and 7th in the 1600m. The girls relay team of Ellie Callaway, Kadence Henke, Dakota Peters, and Ava Thumann placed 5th in the 4x800 and 7th in the 4x400.

KSHSAA State Track and Field Day 1 is in the books for our State competitors. Ellie Callaway got 4th in the Class 2A 3200 meter run, the girls 4x400 meter relay qualified to run tomorrow, and Levi White qualified in the 200 meters for the finals tomorrow. Go Buffs!
