The Republic County Youth and Junior High volleyball camp is Monday, July 6 - Wednesday, July 9. Open to girls in grades 3-8. The session for grades 3-5 is 10-11:30, registration starting at 9:30. The session for grades 6-8 is 12-1:30, registration starting at 11:30. Any questions, contact Robin Marston at rmarston@usd109.org. The RCHS Varsity boys basketball team got 2nd place in the championship bracket in the Clay Center summer league on Thursday. The Buffs defeated Riley County to get to the championship game, where they lost to the Manhattan Chiefs an extremely talented Home School team based out of Manhattan. Very proud of their efforts this summer. The JV picked up their second win of the season as well last night. Go Buffs!

Through the first 2 weeks of summer weights, our female athletes are showing great commitment and effort. We're averaging 22 HS and 14 JH athletes daily, with a record high of 25 and 16. We are focused on building a strong foundation through strength training, while also emphasizing flexibility, mobility, and footwork. Great start-let's keep pushing!

Republic County and Pike Valley FBLA Pulled Pork Fundraiser Please still come join us for our pulled pork meal tomorrow from 11:00-1:00. With this much needed rain, we have a back up plan for serving our meal if needed. We will have to-go boxes or we can deliver. We will be serving on the west side of the Republic County Health Department under the covered driveway. Enjoy the pulled pork (prepared by Jon Baxa), choice of macaroni salad or cole slaw (prepared by Haddam Cafe), chips, homemade desserts, and water (donated by Republic County Hospital). RCHS is super proud of Senior Ellie Callaway, she is pictured with Mark Emerson, Butler County Head Track Coach and Cross Country Coach, along with Coach Anthony Nunez, track distance and HeadCross Country Coach, and Blake Erkenbrack, Head Track Coach. She is announcing that she will run for Butler County next year. Ellie is multi-state medalist in both Cross Country and Track.

What a GREAT weekend for the RCHS Track Athletes at the State Meet in Wichita! Numerous PRs, school records, and lots of smiles. Ellie Callaway finished her career with two individual medals 3rd in the 3200M, breaking her own school record by 5 seconds and 8th in the 1600M. Kylie Stone was 4th in the Discus, and Owen Harms was 6th in the 110M Hurdles. The 4 x 800Meter Relays both medaled, as the girls Ellie Callaway, Ava Thumann, Dakota Clausen-Peters, and Kmyry Hoesli broke the school record and got 6th; the boys medaled in 7th place with Aden Morris, Brekyn Gaither, Grady Siemsen, and Ethan Ines. A beautiful day to be a Buffalo, in all 11 State medals came home to Republic County. Go Buffs!!
