Repco had 25 state qualifiers for the GFWC state art competition. They too competed this past Friday. We had two artists place first in their divisions. Gwen Cole with her dragon sculpture and Sarah Reike with her fiber sunflower piece! 🥇 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Two more Repco artists placed second in their divisions… Lindsay Gieber with her wheat print, and Elly Willams with her fiber butterfly. 🥈 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Dallas Eitzmann, Shanna Doyle, Mariah Bracamontes, Lindsay Gieber, and Dillon Burnett placed third in each of their divisions. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Jackson Voorhees, Jason Schrum, Zachery Foster (x2), Ayden Polansky, Brinna Stephens, Katana Mudd, Ella Pachta(x2), Damond Haberstroh, Abby Knoll, Traven Allen, Trinity Allen, and Kaden Novak all received honorable mentions on their pieces! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Lily Havel and Josh Shelly also had qualifying pieces, that were unable to compete in this competition, but went on to CCCC to compete on instead. Super proud of these kiddos! Next week we are off to compete again at our League Art competition…Wish us luck! 🍀

Today Repco art students had an awesome day at the CCCC Art Show! Here are our results… Lily Havel received a gold medal on her black and white photograph, and won the photography division over all! She also placed gold on her photograph of her cat Hazel, first on her photo of Tecca the dog, and second on her beach photo. Julian Cuellar received a gold medal on his apple painting and won the painting division over all! Kirsten Ball also received gold with her zentangle ink drawing. Caitlyn Foutch placed 1st with her oil pastel drawing of an apple. Isaac Morris placed 3rd in drawing& 3rd in watercolor. Josh Shelly placed 1st & 2nd with his wood burnings. Owen Weatherhead placed 2nd with his batik. Lexus Talkington placed first with her batik. Ella Pachta placed second in both photography and ceramics. Adam Krohn placed second with his photography. Zachary Piroutek placed first in ceramics. Graham Jensen placed third with his Cyanotype. Jasmine Horton received second on her mixed media piece. Maria Bracamontes placed first with her acrylic painting. Meg White placed first with her photography. Cameron Archambeau placed third in ceramics. Natalie Boyer placed second with her watercolor. Makenna Johnson placed 1st with her photograph. And Brooklynn Horner placed second with her ceramics. Congratulations to all our award winners!
