Do you have a high school student who is interested in a career in a STEM area? If they like science, technology, engineering or math but aren't sure what jobs in those areas may look like and they would like to start exploring what a day at college looks like , then this opportunity is for them! KSU's EXCITE Shadow program lets students experience a day in the life of a college student. Your student would be paired with a college student and attend classes and labs with them. They would get a chance to eat lunch at the student union and ask questions about careers and college. This is open to all high school students. This is a great way to use a college visit day. Fall shadow days are Oct. 1st, Oct 15th, and Nov 12th. Days are limited to 10 students a day so registering sooner than later is encouraged. There is a cost of $40 but scholarships are available. If your student is interested but the cost is stopping them please have your student reach out to one of the counselors. Follow the link for more information and to register.
