Some great collaboration happening out in the shop. Art room native plant, botanical study is in full swing! We collected plants earlier this week, brought them back to class to identify, and made castings of them today in class. 🌿 We are hoping to exhibit them next year as part of the RC Ag state fair display next year!

RC Advanced Art students are easing back into the art room with a little charcoal practice! Check out these drawings...🗝️🖤
Human Growth and Development students have been studying prenatal and infant care. They practiced getting baby buckled properly in a care seat. Culinary and the Baking & Pastry Class completed ServSafe testing and baked a mystery food. The students got a recipe with no name and had to follow the instructions to compete the food.
FCCLA officers attended the AIMS Leadership Conference in Manhattan. Students attended several workshops on Leadership.
The Junior High Volleyball and Football teams kick off their fall sports season on Thursday, September 3rd at Minneapolis.
JH Volleyball begins at 4:15 with squads playing on Court 1 (A, B, A) and Court 2 (B, C, C).
JH Football kickoff is at 7:00 pm.

Republic County Schools invites the community to join us on Friday, September 11, 2026, for a 9/11 25th Anniversary Remembrance at the Republic County Courthouse.
Community members are invited to begin gathering at 8:30 a.m., with the ceremony beginning at approximately 8:40 a.m.
At 8:46 a.m., a bell will toll 25 times, once for each year since September 11, 2001, followed by a moment of silence.
The student-led ceremony will reflect on the events at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and aboard Flight 93, as well as the courage and service demonstrated in their aftermath. The program will include performances by Republic County students and staff and recognition of veterans, active-duty service members, military families, and first responders.
Visitors will also have an opportunity to view COURAGE: 12 Choices Made on September 11, an educational exhibit highlighting individuals and groups whose actions demonstrated courage, service, and concern for others on September 11 and in the days that followed.
Twenty-five years after the attacks, most of today’s students know September 11 only as history. This remembrance is an opportunity to help a new generation understand what occurred, honor those who were lost and those who served, and preserve the stories of courage and sacrifice associated with that day.

Who says lamps have to be boring?!
Our Jr. High artists are turning their sketches into one of a kind paper mâché lamps!
Students started by sketching their ideas and then brought those designs to life using paper mâché, creativity, and A LOT of patience!
So far, our lamp lineup includes a cupcake, flower, ice cream cone, angler fish, cloud, flashlight, and plenty of other imaginative creations!
It’s so fun watching their ideas go from 2D to 3D....More photos coming soon!
Art I is learning about still life drawing, and they are off to a fantastic start!
