Driver's Education sign up forms can be picked up at RCHS or BOE office starting today. Driver's Education will start Monday, June 19-Friday, June 23... Driving starts June 26...Must be 14 by June 19. Forms to be returned to either RCHS or BOE office by June 16. The cost is $200 payable to USD 109.

Day 1 of the State Track Meet is done. Josh Shelly did not break finals in the Boys Discus. The boys 4x400 relay did not make finals.
Tomorrow around 10:30 the girls 4x800 relay will fun followed by the boys 4x800 relay.

RCHS forensicators left yesterday for Louisville, KY. We drove to St. Louis yesterday and explored City Museum this morning before finishing our drive. The girls loved City Museum and are looking forward to exploring Louisville.
They are off to State!! Good luck to our Buffaloes at State Track!

USD 109 BOARD MEMBER ELECTION INFORMATION
Republic County-Unified School District #109 has four (4) Board Member positions up for the November 7, 2023, General Election. USD #109 selected Voting Plan C which allows voters to vote for only candidates in their member district in both the primary and general elections. The following Board Member positions expiring in January, 2024 are:
Position #1 – Currently held by Clay Siemsen
Position #3– Currently held by Clay Aurand
Position #5 – Currently held by Edward Sandberg
Position #7 – Currently held by Brent Martin
The candidates elected to serve in each of these positions will serve a four (4) year term that will expire in January, 2028.
Position #1 – Represents all area in USD 109 West of US 81 and West of 180 Road north of 18th Street in Belleville City to US 81.
Belleville City, South of 18th Street and West of S Street excluded.
North to the Kansas State Line and South to Cloud County Line.
Position #3– Represents all area in Belleville City, South of 18th Street and West of S Street.
Position #5 -All area in USD 109 East of US 81 except that area North of 18th Street in Belleville and West of 180 Road to its point of intersection with US 81.
Belleville City, South of 18th Street and West of S Street excluded.
North to the Kansas State Line and South to the Cloud County Line
Position #7 – At Large Position
If anyone is interested, they need to file with the County Clerk at the County Courthouse by 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 1, 2023. If three or more candidates file in any position there will be a Primary Election held on August 1, 2023. The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. It is a legal requirement for the member to be a registered voter and to live within the board member’s district boundary position. The newly elected Board Member will assume duties starting on January 8, 2024.
