Sixth grade invited Mr. Jones to experiment with their Spike robot creations today. They created robotic claws that can pick up cups and other items.

The high school wrestling dual at Thayer Central that was postponed has been rescheduled to tomorrow, Tuesday, January 24th at 6:00 pm.

4th grade created marble runs in STEM that had to include at least 4 drops!





USD 109 Board of Education has announced the selection of Tami Knedler as the new superintendent. Mrs. Knedler will take the reins on July 1, 2023. Formal approval took place at a special board meeting held January 23rd, 2023.
Tami Knedler and her husband, Kelly, currently reside in Dodge City, Kansas. Mrs. Knedler is serving as an assistant superintendent of elementary education at USD 443 in Dodge City, KS. She is in her seventh year in this position. Previously, she was an early childhood principal in Dodge City for five years. She has also served as an elementary instructional coach for two years and an elementary teacher for 10 years in Dodge City and Colorado.
The selection followed an application and screening process conducted by Gary Sechrist of the Kansas Association of School Boards. Four finalists were selected and were interviewed between January 16 through January 20.

Hillsboro Tournament concluded today with the girls falling to Riley County. The boys pick up the win over Eureka, 52-27. Proud of all of our Buffs!

7th grade art did a collaborative pencil drawing of our school. Each student drew a part of the photograph. The photo we worked from was taken by McCowngordon, after the bond construction was completed. ✏️



Girls basketball loses to Clay Center 47-34, boys lose to Riley County 36-33.
