Republic County seniors visited the Republic County Historical Museum yesterday to view the new exhibit from the Smithsonian: Voices and Votes: Democracy in America. Excellent exhibit, along with great dialogue and guided discussion with our students from museum director/curator Mr. Ed Glenn. Go take a look if you get a chance, it is very worth your while.

High School Winter Sports Pictures are Tomorrow After School!
Order will be boys basketball, girls basketball, then wrestling. Make sure to bring picture packets, there are extra in the high school office if needed.
The Republic County FFA chapter attended the NCD leadership school in early November where they competed in four different competitions: Parliamentary Procedure, Ritual Ceremonies, Informational Test, and Parliamentary knowledge. Congratulations to the Greenhand team on placing 2nd overall, out of 9 teams, in the Greenhand Conduct of Chapter Meetings division, as well as our Senior 1 Team on placing 5th in Parliamentary Knowledge. The Greenhand team will now move on to compete at the state level this Spring.
Greenhand team members are: Billy Cherney, Schola Baxa, Tyrese Alexander, Sawyer Stephens, Kolby Strnad, Izzy Novak, and Mekenzie Banahan.
Senior 1 team: Kadence Henke, Hanna Orr, Camryn Reynolds, Ethan Ines, Lily Havel, Gracia Siemsen, and Macy Hoemeier

Republic County students traveled to Beloit today for NCAA League Choir. Students attending included: Emma Hubert, Olivia Rieke,Maelin Johnson, Gwen Cole, Bri Horner, Schola Baxa,, Eliza Anderson, Izzy Novak, Mekenzie Banahan, and Autumn Hasse.

USD 109 Bus Drivers will be evaluating the safety of the unpaved bus route roads. If the driver does not feel it is safe for the school bus to drive down, he or she will contact parents with an alternate pickup location.

Congratulations to Olivia Strnad and Kylie Stone for being selected as the Republic County FFA Alumni SAE Grant recipients. The girls will use the grant money to help with improving and progressing their SAE projects.
