The JH Scholars Bowl Team split up to compete at Rock Hills AND Thayer Central tonight. At Rock Hills, the 8th grade team came away with 1st place! The 7th grade team fought hard but did not place. The 7th and 8th grade team that went to Thayer Central gave it their best but did not place. Our next meet will be Thursday at Ellsworth. Go Buffs!




Buffs lose first round game of Sub-State to Jeff North 22-41.


RCHS Buffs tied up with the #1 seed in the Sub-State Jeff North 17-17 in the 3rd Quarter at Winchester.

Good luck to our high school boys basketball team tonight at Jefferson County North in the first round of sub-state. The high school is located at 302 5th Street in Winchester.


RCHS Wrestlers bringing home medals, Ryan Beavers 5th place 195, Garrett Siemsen 5th place 175, and bringing home the gold medal in 1st place the newest Buffalo State Champion at 120lbs-AJ Polansky!!! Go Buffs!!

Congratulations goes out to Graham Jensen on having his art work selected to represent RCHS in Topeka. Graham’s artwork will be on display during the month of March in the Sabatini Gallery, to celebrate Youth Art Month! His work will also complete against other high schoolers from Kansas, in the YAM competition!

The questions at the Beloit JH Scholars Bowl meet were HARD, HARD, HARD! But our Jr. Buffs teams persevered, both ending with a 5-2 night! The seventh grade team brought home bronze medals while the 8th grade came home with silver! Proud to be a Buffalo! Go Buffs!



📢 Calling all creative or musical graduates from RCHS…
March is Youth Art Month. Mrs Strnad (Tranda) is looking for any pictures you may have to showcase RC high school vocal, band, theater, & art over the years.
She is also looking for graduates who are still expressing their creativity who are willing to be a featured artist online.. it would consist of answering some questions and sharing a current photo of you and your art form.. (dance, painting, drawing, singing, anything musical or creative! )


Congratulations goes out to Taylor Peters on having her art work selected to represent RC middle school artists in Topeka. Her artwork will be on display during the month of March in the Sabatini Gallery, to celebrate Youth Art Month! Her work will also complete against other middle schoolers from Kansas, for a chance to win one of the AWESOME YAM prizes.

Reminder: Baseball and Softball Parent Meetings are tonight at 5:45!


Republic County FFA celebrated National FFA Week by hosting a "Kiss The Pig Contest" for NCK CASA. Staff and coaches were nominated and put head to head to 'win.' The candidates with the most money in their jar were the one's selected to kiss the pig.
In total $628 was raised for NCK CASA, with our highest earning candidate being Coach Allie with a whopping $370 in her jar! The other winning candidates were Ag Teacher, Mrs. Holtorf and Wrestling Coach, Adam Polansky.







KSHSAA 2A Sub-State Brackets are posted. Boys will play at Winchester-Jefferson County North on Monday, the girls will play at Riverside on Tuesday. Both games will start at 6:00 pm.
