Dear Kansas K-12 Parent/Guardian:
To help address the needs of current and future students, the Kansas State Department of Education is surveying parents and guardians of children 18 years of age or younger about their current perceptions about various post-high school opportunities. In other words, how do you as a parent or guardian define success for your child?
Please take five minutes to complete the following survey, answering questions in respect to your oldest child who is today 18 years old or younger. The survey will remain open through March 31, 2024.
Thank you in advance for your participation in this short survey and for all you do to help our state prepare the next generation of Kansas children for tomorrow’s workforce.

Today was the second annual Junior Class Etiquette Dinner! We traveled to Rock Springs 4-H Center.
Pat Pesci, Professor Emeritus at Kansas State University, led the show today! Mr. Pesci has taught numerous etiquette courses for K-State’s athletic programs, as well as fraternities and sororities over the years. He lead RepCo students in setting the table, seating, passing food and drinks, gave tips on how to order, how to treat wait staff, and table manners.
The food was great, the atmosphere was fun, we even got dressed up! A big thank you to the Republic County Community Foundation and everyone else who helped make this event possible!

RC Juniors have an etiquette dinner today at Rock Springs 4-H Center. On our way, we took a small detour to CCCC to tour the progress of their new Technical Education and Innovation Center that is scheduled to open NEXT fall. We also met with an academic advisor who spoke to us about credit hours and what 12 hours vs 18 hours looks like. She also talked to students about their different programs. She shared what semester to a year certification courses they offered, as well as associate degree options! We ended our visit meeting with the band director about vocal and band scholarships available. Thanks CCCC for hosting us this morning!

Mark your calendars for the RCHS Booster Club Winter Sports Banquet! Make note of the change in time to 7:00 pm.

I have to brag on two of my students for a second... We were blessed to get TWO exchange students this year. Johnna from 🇩🇪 Germany and Alicja from 🇵🇱 Poland. They have really enjoyed the freedom of TAB in our classroom this year. They BLOW me away daily with their talent and drive. They have been such a gift to to me and the students in their classes! Here are a look at some of their recent pieces. The motorcycle is by Johanna and the comic is by Alicja.

Jr High put some finishing touches on their Theibaud clay projects today. How sweet are these?!?!

The juniors took the ACT this morning at Central Christian Church and were provided pizza for lunch. Due to the fact that they worked really hard, the majority of juniors were released to go home after lunch around 1:00. Some did stay to work with teachers.

Hello, I am Johanna Hahn, a senior at RCHS! The topic for my Senior project is the design of packaging for a product that is the most appealing to a specific target group.
For some background knowledge, I focus on a mainly female target group in the age from 15 to 35, but this isn’t a requirement to fill out my survey.
I would greatly appreciate anyone who purchases beauty and/or make up products regularly finding time to fill out my survey! It is very short and would require four to five minutes to complete. The information will be strictly used for my Senior Project, so please answer it as truthfully as possible!
Feel free to email me at johanna.hahn@usd109.org with any questions, comments, or concerns!
