Over past couple of days the Republic County Seniors have taken a few of the final steps toward completion of the Senior Project process. This was a culmination of hard work and preparation as the students completed their project presentations and conducted the open house. These steps would not be possible without the gracious help of our community experts, USD 109 Board members, and all the contributions of the Republic County Faculty and Staff. A special thanks goes out to the project mentors from in and outside of our community who contributed time, wisdom, and career advice to our young people while they completed their projects. Finally, thank you to the parents/guardians who joined their student along this journey filled with challenges and amazing opportunities for growth. Our seniors did amazing work, and we as a senior project team, are so proud of them. It is a great day to be a Buffalo.

Looking for something fun to do this weekend with your family? The K-State Open House has something for all ages! This is a great way to start to explore different career areas. There are activities for elementary, junior high and high school. All the colleges have activities that show off the majors available and the amazing facilities that they have. The College of Veterinary Medicine esp has fun activities for younger students. The link has a schedule of activities and events. For a more formal experience you can register to attend, but that is not necessary. The Union is a great place to start. You can get more information, schedules and maps of the campus. Its never to early to start exploring career options! https://www.k-state.edu/openhouse/
