RCHS participated at the Junior Varsity Golf meet at Valley Heights on Friday, despite the rainy and wet conditions Sawyer Stephens and Connor Martin medaled 2nd and 3rd respectively. Go Buffs!
RC had an amazing day at CCCC yesterday! Mrs. Strnad snapped a few pictures before all the awards were given on our hanging pieces (thanks Mrs. Aurand for coming so I could leave for prom setup) BUT we had a great display! Congratulations to all our award winners and Lexie Smith for winning Best Overall Batik! 5 shows down... one to go! 💙❤️

Reminder: An optional come-and-go Preschool Peek will be on Monday, May 5, from 5:30-6:30 pm at East Elementary.
Last week the RCHS Advanced Placement Calculus class finished that last curriculum concept by studying the volume of solids of regular cross sections. Now these students will spend the next three weeks preparing for the AP exam. RCHS is very proud of these students for studying such a challenging and rigorous curriculum

REMINDER of the upcoming Drivers Education Meeting for those interested in taking the course. The meeting is Wednesday, April 30th at 5:00 pm in the Flex Room of the JH/HS. Students must be 14 by June 1, 2025. The cost is $200/student and a copy of a birth certificate or current driver's permit is needed to enroll. See you there!
Today in Trigonometry, the students were demonstrating their ability to solve the area of a triangle using the law of COS and Heron's formula. Mr. Baxa always challenges the students to think and problem solve. Very proud of what they can achieve!
Republic County forensicators are ready to showcase their talents for the public in their pre-state performances. You have two opportunities to come watch our best actors and speakers before they compete at state competition on Saturday, May 3rd. Please come out and show your support: Monday, April 28th and Thursday, May 1st in the RCHS cafeteria at 7pm. Free will donations will be accepted and will go to support the RCHS forensics team at state and nationals. Let's go buffs!
Update: Baseball and Softball games for today have been postponed due to weather. Games have been rescheduled to Tuesday, May 6th at 4:00 in Belleville.
The Republic County Softball and Baseball team have home games on Thursday, April 24th versus Valley Heights. The double-header action starts at 4:00 in Belleville, KS. Good luck to both teams.
The 8th grade class will be attending 8th grade days at North Central Fort Hays Tech Beloit Campus on Friday, April 25th. Students will load the bus at 8:00, so please be sure to be at school on time. Wear comfortable walking shoes and attire for the weather. Lunch will be provided.
