Southeast Community College is offering high school students a way to explore several well paying careers in the trade industries. They will be hosting the Trade Up Camps May 27-30th. Students will get the chance to do some hands-on interaction in a variety of areas. The link will provide more information and registration. RCHS Baseball loses to Valley Heights 4-15 in six innings. Adam Krohn did hit a solo homerun in the sixth inning. Buffs come roaring back in the second game of the doubleheader winning in 5 innings 15-4. Nick Kendall went yard in the form of a grand slam, that is 4 runs with one swing of the bat. Go Buffs!!
RCHS Lady Buffs Softball wins in extra innings versus Valley Heights 8-7; Jordan Blazek gets the winning hit and the pitching win on the mound. Go Lady Buffs!! Lady Buffs drop the second game of the doubleheader 11-14.
The track team is headed to Minneapolis for competition today.
The meet will begin at 3:00 Good luck to all competitors.

The Republic County Softball and Baseball team competes at home against Valley Heights. Please note that game time is at 3:00 today, May 6th.

Please join the FBLA, FCCLA, and KAYS chapters tonight as they recognize and celebrate the successes of their members tonight in the high school cafeteria beginning at 6:30. There will be a variety of chips/dips, cheese/cracker, fruit/dip, and vegetable/dips.

Congrats to Senior Maelin Johnson on her 5th place finish in oration. State competition was fierce, as always, but the buffaloes put their best foot forward and we look forward to nationals at the end of the month!


RCHS forensicators broke 8 out of 13 events to semi finals at state. Semi finalists include: Maelin Johnson in oration and impromptu as well as Olivia Rieke, Owen Doyle and Samuel Anderson in extemp, Gwen Cole in serious, Sam Poppe in poetry, and Julian Swank in humorous solo. Congrats to the buffs for making it this far! Break a leg!

RCJH hosted their annual track meet Thursday, there were many outstanding results by all competitors, one in particular included:
**New School Record**
Girls 7th grade 4 x 200 of Layluh Dyke, Lucy Oman, Ava Cornwell, and Wynn Larson set a new school record running the race in 2:03.68.
The previous school record of 2:05.78 was set back in 2008 by A. Anderson, M. Cottenmyre, D. Nutsch, and K. McCall.
The RCHS Track team traveled to Beloit for the annual Relays...Levi White was a double double winner, winning the 100M and 200M races in a doubling time...11.44-100M and 22.88-200M... Go Buffs!
