Today in Trigonometry, the students were demonstrating their ability to solve the area of a triangle using the law of COS and Heron's formula. Mr. Baxa always challenges the students to think and problem solve. Very proud of what they can achieve!


Republic County forensicators are ready to showcase their talents for the public in their pre-state performances. You have two opportunities to come watch our best actors and speakers before they compete at state competition on Saturday, May 3rd. Please come out and show your support: Monday, April 28th and Thursday, May 1st in the RCHS cafeteria at 7pm. Free will donations will be accepted and will go to support the RCHS forensics team at state and nationals. Let's go buffs!



The 8th grade class will be attending 8th grade days at North Central Fort Hays Tech Beloit Campus on Friday, April 25th. Students will load the bus at 8:00, so please be sure to be at school on time. Wear comfortable walking shoes and attire for the weather. Lunch will be provided. The Republic County Softball and Baseball team have home games on Thursday, April 24th versus Valley Heights. The double-header action starts at 4:00 in Belleville, KS. Good luck to both teams.

Wow, what a day 17 teams times 2 track meet done before 5 pm. Republic County runs quick quality meets and have for decades. But none of this is possible without the incredible effort of our USD 109 teachers, staff, retired teachers, custodians, admin., students, and patrons who volunteer their time in representing Republic County Schools. Republic County hosted their home golf tournament today. Kaden Novak tied for 3rd with a score of 82, but placed 5th in the playoff. The team of Kaden, Benedict Baxa, Manny Motto, and Greyson Novak placed third as a 4-man team.



The General Horticulture class is learning about thrillers, fillers, and spillers. Just in time for planting flowers this spring. The greenhouse is the perfect place to be this time of year 🌼 🪴
