Holidays are a special time for family and traditions.
RCHS art students completed a heritage assignment during this past semester. I couldn't think of a better time to share this one after my student shared a photo of his Christmas dinner plate with me yesterday!
Paper mache' sculpture by: Connor Sheetz
This assignment focused on exploring our heritage. At first, I struggled to come up with an idea. I tried researching my family history but didn’t find much information. Then I thought about the traditions we share. Every Christmas, we have prime rib and twice-baked potatoes. This tradition started with my grandma, but when she stopped, my dad took over. It’s a special tradition I hope to continue with my own family someday.

The Junior Lady Buffaloes opened the NCAA tournament at Beloit. The Lady Buffs played hard but their season came to an end with a 27-18 loss to the Trojans. Go Buffs!!!
