Wrestling at Thayer Central has been added on Friday, January 21 with a 2:30 start time. Some wrestlers will still go to Beloit as well.
The Smith Center basketball game that was postponed on January 14 has been rescheduled for Monday, February 14 at Smith Center.
High school basketball on Tuesday, January 25 at Southeast-Saline time change-Girls JV will begin at 4:00, JV boys to follow. Varsity girls at 6:00, varsity boys to follow.
High school basketball travels to Hillsboro for the Trojan Classic today! Girls game starts at 3:00, boys to follow. Games are at the Tabor College Gym. Remember: fans must wear masks.

Hillsboro Basketball Tournament is this week. Please refer to the following information regarding Covid safety protocols:
Games at Hillsboro High School: 1. Masks will be required by those not officiating and playing. -at this time, this policy will end Friday, Jan 21, after school. 2. We will NOT be providing water jugs at the end of the bench.
Games at Tabor College: 1. We will NOT be providing water jugs at the end of the bench. 2. Masks will be required by everyone not playing or officiating.
It is important that all fans follow the mask requirements.
The next step if numbers continue to climb will be to limit fans coming to the games or even cancel the games. We will keep everyone posted of any changes to these policies.

As a result of the cancellation of school and all activities Jan. 12th-15th by USD 109, we will not have JAM on Saturday January 15th. We will resume a week after the conclusion of the Hillsboro Trojan Classic on Saturday, January 29th. Buffs basketball hope for all to get healthy during this period of illness and look forward to seeing you all again. Big thanks as well for all the support from our Buff community so far this season.

Republic County USD #109 will be closed Thursday and Friday due to the continued illness in our district and community. After looking at illnesses increasing in our district and community and consulting with medical professionals, we believe this is the best decision for the safety and health of our students, staff and community.
There will be no activities or practices starting at 3:30pm today (Wednesday), Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
No basketball games or wrestling on Friday night or scholars bowl on Saturday.
Please stay home, rest and stay healthy.

The Jr High wrestling parent meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday at 7:00 pm in the new gym.
Republic County U S D 109 will be closed on Monday, January 10, due to a variety of illness in the district amongst staff and students. Everyone stay home and get healthy. Open gym and mat will occur for those who are healthy.

Nex-Tech offers 2 scholarships for seniors and the FRS Youth Tour for sophomores and juniors. All seniors, juniors, and sophomores received an email today with more information on these opportunities. To be eligible for any of them, the student must live in the Nex-Tech service area and the parents or legal guardians must receive at least one Nex-Tech residential or business service.
