While there, Mekenzie got to see Annika Wooten, former Miss Kansas speak and preform one of her speed paintings. Mekenzie also got to view art from students all over Kansas and even had time to make a little art in the creation station.
We’re so proud to have you representing Republic County today!❤️💙

Today RC Art Club traveled to Wichita! We started out the morning at Cocoa Dolce, watching the artists work their magic, hand painting chocolates. Of course we had to sample a few! Next we went to City Arts. We got to participate in a printmaking workshop, view some awesome exhibits, then got lost in the in the gift shop full of local art! Panera catered lunch for us under the Chihuly chandelier at the Wichita Art Museum. After lunch we made a quick trip around the gallery. The kids really enjoyed the Art Dec exhibit. Big thank you to our bus driver, Jon and Traci Brunner for hanging out with us today. So glad to be able to see art in person again!! ❤️❤️❤️

I’m so proud of these girls! We had four competitors at CFL qualifier in Scott City and all four qualified for the National tournament in Washington DC! Jaycie Stindt and Cassey Robertson are champs in duo, with freshman duo Maelin Johnson and Olivia Rieke in 4th, which will send both teams to nationals. Individual medalists were Jaycie Stindt, 1st place in dramatic interpretation, and Maelin Johnson 3rd in oral declamation. I can’t wait for our trip in DC ladies!
