Today 19 Repco art students, Mrs. Strnad, and 3 sponsors headed to Wichita at 6am, for a silversmithing field trip. This field trip was made possible by a grant through the Republic County Community Foundation. We started the morning at Cocoa Dolce where we learned about how they make hand paint chocolates. We got to enjoy a sweet treat and a little art! Next we were off to City Arts, where we participated in a silversmithing workshop and collage class. We enjoyed lunch, then bounced on to Wichita Art Museum. We were lucky to have two great docents show us around. Before we left, we posed for a mandatory picture under the Chihuly chandelier, and took a walk on the famous Chihuly floor. A BIG thank you to our bus driver, sponsors, and Republic County Community Foundation for making this experience possible!
