The high school volleyball team put on a Future Buffalo Camp last week! Everyone learned some skills and had a lot of fun!

Midwest Elite Basketball comes to Belleville Monday, June 20th through Wednesday, June 22nd to host a camp for those that signed up. Girls camp will be from 8 a.m to noon each day and boys camp will be from 1 p.m to 5 p.m each day. Look forward to see the improvements made by everyone involved. Go Buffs!

USD 109 NAMES INTERIM SUPERINTENDENT
JUNE 17, 2022 –
The USD 109 Board of Education has announced the selection of Nancy L. Meyer as the interim superintendent for 2022-2023 school year. Mrs. Meyer will take the reins on July 1, 2022 with her first day in the district on July 5. Formal approval took place at a special board meeting held June 17, 2022 at 8:00 a.m.
Mrs. Meyer and her husband, Gary currently reside in Olathe, KS. Previously, Mrs. Meyer served as interim superintendent at Riley County, KS, in 2015-2016. She was superintendent at Holton Schools from 2010-2014, and Marmaton Valley Schools from 2006-2010. She has also served as a high school principal for 3 years and a business teacher for 12 years. Most recently, she has been substitute teaching in the Kansas City area.
Mrs. Meyer will receive a one year contract with an annual salary of $90,000 and benefits. She will replace Superintendent Larry Lyder.

USD 109 is looking for bus drivers to join our transportation team. A class B CDL along with the P and S endorsements are required. The district will provide training to acquire this license if necessary. Starting wage is $18 per hour for a route driver with a guaranteed minimum of at least 4 hours per day. More hours are available through some noon pre-school routes as well. Activity drivers will start at $15 per hour. Anyone working over 25 hours per week will also be eligible for a full single paid health/dental insurance.

Don’t forget the Lady Buff Youth Volleyball camp starts tomorrow! It is June 13-15 from 8:00 am-11:30 am! It is for all girls entering 3rd-8th grade. This is put on by the high school volleyball coaches and players, it is $20 to participate and includes a t-shirt! There is still time to sign up, just come tomorrow at 7:45 am to get registered!
The high school girls will also have their team camp this week, Monday-Friday from 1:00-4:00!

UPDATE ON SUMMER MEALS -- We have had some confusion on if meals are available as Grab and Go this summer, 2022. We are encouraging children to eat at the cafeteria for both lunch and breakfast. We do realize that this causes a hardship for some families, due to this we WILL be allowing you to pick up meals for Grab and Go for your children, for this Summer. TIMES -- Breakfast -- 7:30am - 8:15am -- Lunch 11:30am - 12:30pm. Reminder you need to come into the cafeteria to pick up the meals.
