SPECIAL BOARD OF EDUCATION MINUTES

August 24, 2009

PRESENT

All Board Members were present along with Superintendent Troy Damman, Principals Don Westphal and Julie Gottschalk, and Clerk of the Board Linda Gieber.

Also present was Dr. Doug Moeckel with KASB.

SPECIAL BOE MEETING CALLED TO ORDER

At 12:00 noon, Superintendent Troy Damman introduced Dr. Doug Moeckel as School Board/Administrator Services Representative with KASB held on Monday, August 24, 2009.

SET GOALS & PLANNING RETREAT FOR 2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR

Dr. Doug Moeckel outlined tasks of achieving high Board performances by each Board Member in governing and overseeing the management of the district.

Board President Poppe asked each Board Member to present a list of four Board goals that they would select and how it would be met.

The Board unanimously set Monday, September 14th, for a continued special board meeting at 6:30 p.m. prior to the regular board meeting at 7:30 p.m., to set Board Goals for the 2009-2010 school year.

ADJOURNMENT

Donna Ward moved to adjourn the meeting and Layne Holmes seconded the motion. Motion carried 7-0.

Meeting adjourned at 2:35 p.m.
