SPECIAL BOARD OF EDUCATION MINUTES
January 20, 2010

PRESENT
Board Members present were Phillip Poppe, Donna Ward, Kevin Kuhlman, Layne Holmes, Kevin Milner, and Mike Hadachek along with Superintendent Troy Damman, and Board Clerk Linda Gieber.
SPECIAL B.O.E. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER:
President Phillip Poppe called the Special Board of Education meeting to order at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at the Administration Office.
POSSIBLE RATIFICAITON OF THE 2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR:
Layne Holmes moved to approve the presented Addendum for the change in length of time for the instructional day beginning February 1, 2010. Mike Hadachek seconded the motion. Motion carried 6-0. (The Addendum would be removed for the 2010-2011 school year.)
ADDENDUM
(Having a large number of missed days due to inclement weather during the 2009-2010 school year, the Board will alter the length of the instructional day by 10 minutes beginning on February 1, 2010. The minutes will also be added to late start days and the last day of school. This would add an additional 12 hours and 40 minutes to the calendar or about 2 days. The district has currently missed a total of 6 days in the calendar year.)
ADJOURNMENT
Kevin Kuhlman moved to adjourn the meeting and Kevin Milner seconded the motion. Motion carried 6-0.
Meeting adjourned at 1:05 p.m.
